Are you getting frustrated with the same patterns in your relationship? Are you have the same fights over and over? I work with Individuals and Couples that want to work on their relationship. I work with improving all the relationships in your life, not just with a significant other. Improving these relationships can radically change your life. If you want to have a better understanding of why you are getting negative outcomes and are ready to make the changes set up an appointment with me.

Counseling does not have to be just for those with mental health disorders. I work with many different individuals going through transitions, hoping to improve their lives and refocus their energy in a positive way. After the first appointment most of my clients have said: “Wow, I feel better already!” Counseling is a way to improve your life, find your path, become more assertive, meet your goals, and improve your general outlook on life.

As a therapist, I am drawn to those who tend to struggle with issues like depression, life transitions/change, worry, anxiety, perfectionism, rumination, social anxiety, self-doubt, shame, and feelings of meaninglessness. I am interested in the challenges and advantages of what it means to be highly sensitive or an empath. My approach is to non-judgmentally understand what drives the behaviors that seem so difficult to change. I am dedicated to establishing an authentic, intentional, and trusting relationship.

I use a variety of different types of therapy, but the core of my work is based on Person-Centered therapy. It is built on the concept of unconditional positive regard. In other words, I want to be someone who will meet you wherever you are at and help you to reach your goals. Considering the uniqueness of each individual, no one therapy will suffice.

Believe you can and you’re halfway there. — Theodore Roosevelt

My passion for helping people began at a young age.  Studying social work, counseling, psychology, and school counseling have allowed me to work with diverse populations from young children through older adults. As a therapist, I am the first to admit to being 100% human; I make mistakes, I fall down, I stumble, but most importantly, I keep going. If you need me to be I can be very direct, providing tools and strategies to help you get from point A to point B. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Assertive Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Positive Psychology, Strengths-Based Approach, and Mindfulness Therapy.

It has been a joy to work with high school students, college students, and young professionals as a guide through difficult life transitions. I have experience working in crisis and residential settings with issues ranging from parenting, relationship distress, substance abuse, academic intervention, mood disorders, anxiety, paranoia, depression, and others. I consider myself to be your biggest fan; where you want to make changes, I will relentlessly encourage you, stand by you, and cheer you on!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  I graduated from Alverno College and am licensed in Wisconsin as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-BC. As a nurse practitioner, I provide psychiatric assessment, consultation, and treatment.

My mental health specialty spans across the lifespan.  I have been supporting patients in the treatment of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, sleep issues, PTSD and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I practice in a holistic manner and rather than just addressing the symptoms of mental illness, I believe in a broad scope of intervention, including diet, exercise, meditation, and of course therapy.

My goal is to serve mental health medication management needs, and together as a team, we will work toward an improved mental health.

Warm Regards,
