I understand that life can be challenging whether it’s work, school, or relationships. If you feel like you could be engaging more fully in life or envision a brighter future, then treatment may be right for you. I have experience working with adolescents with substance abuse and behavioral problems, as well as adults who struggle with a variety of concerns such as anxiety and depression.
I engage in evidence-based practice because it's trustworthy and proven to be effective. Some examples are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices that help you return to the present moment. Some of my specialties include Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma/PTSD.
In general, clients that I've partnered with feel validated and understood. Oftentimes, they gain skills to cope more effectively with distress in their everyday life. My clients are encouraged to engage in routine and enjoyable activities, while practicing self-compassion and advocating for their own needs. Communication skills and relationships can also improve.
