How does life feel right now? Perhaps you are experiencing anxiety, sadness, or lack of motivation on a frequent basis. Maybe you're not sure what you're feeling, but you know you're not where you want to be. Everyone struggles with overwhelming situations and emotions from time to time, and I am a firm believer that no obstacle you are facing right now is too big to tackle. As a therapist, I will use practical strategies that will guide you in your journey of empowerment and assist with creating a strengthened sense of self. Coming always from a non-judgmental and compassionate stance, I will help you make sense of difficult experiences and guide you to the life you most want to live.
I have experience working with anxiety, OCD, depression, personality disorders, trauma, and PTSD. I pull strategies from the following approaches, based on individual needs: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Activation, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety disorders, Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, and Motivational interviewing. I also incorporate mindfulness practices that will help decrease levels of stress in the short term, and in the long term can provide insight and understanding to your emotions and habits.
