Are you a parent seeking therapy for your child, teen or college student? I specialize in helping young people (age 5+) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, behavior issues, or life transitions. My goal is to help them learn skills needed to cope with life’s challenges, feel better about themselves and reach their full potential. I provide support to parents and families of young children as their involvement is an important part of the process.
For 22 years, I have been working with children and teens in a variety of settings including K-12 schools, a children’s hospital, a residential children’s home and private practice. I have experience treating Anxiety Disorders (generalized, social, separation, panic), OCD, Adjustment Disorders, Depressive Disorders, ADHD, IED, ODD, and ASD (level 1 or 2).
I use a variety of therapeutic interventions depending on the child’s individual needs, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Art Therapy and/or Play Therapy. I enjoy using therapeutic games and art activities to teach life skills (coping skills, self-regulation, cognitive restructuring, social communication, problem-solving, executive functioning) and growth mindset concepts.
